Denia Nightlife
Denia is just as busy at night as it is by the daytime. It’s no club land like Benidorm but there are hundreds of bars and restaurants, some of which stay open until the early hours and many of them have live entertainment during the summer months.

During the summer months then Denia’s long stretch Las Marinas (heading north out of Denia) blooms into life with bars, restaurants, clubs, live music and all kinds of shows until the early hours. Worth a visit is the restaurant IKARUS on the Las Marinas road, www.ikarus-denia.eu where Gesine and Timo will offer you international food. Lovely salad or a soup as a starter, a great main dish of meat or fish with potato gratin, and finishing with lovely whisky parfait and much more.

A great meal such as lamb rack or beef filet, one has to enjoy is in the cosy old town of Altea, where the restaurant la Costera http://www.lacosteradealtea.com offers you lovely Mediterranean and French food to enjoy in the outside patio in summer, or warm, inside of the townhouse restaurant.

When it’s not summer time there is still plenty of entertainment on offer. Check out the local newspapers that have details for live entertainment in the local bars and restaurants or ask us for secret tips.
One of Denia’s biggest “parties” or fiesta takes place on the 19th March. This is the “Fallas” fiesta. Huge paper mache effigies are created and paraded around the town during the day. By night they are burnt to ashes in a bonfire party!

From August 14th to August 16th the massive Moors and Christians fiesta takes place. Fantastic street parades remembering the hundreds of years of Moorish occupation in this area of Spain.
There are plenty of other smaller fiestas during the year in Denia which allow everyone to close up and party away! Denia has the most fiestas in the whole of Spain.
